Studying sucks
I feel like I've given my all, but I just aint getting what I want. It gets frustrating, but its hard to break away. Do I try again and again at something which seems hopeless, or should I just let go and start all over again? I dont wanna look back a few years down the road and regret what I did, but I know I will.
I'm so fucking behind in my studies. They say to be consistent is the key, and no, I havent been at all consistent. Not even close. There are times when I am behind 5 weeks of lectures and tutorials, and I cram like mad when it comes to tests and exams. It sucks big time. The stress, anxiety, midnight oil.. Its not worth it. The semester is just starting, and already I'm lagging behind big time. How do those China and India people do it? They read ahead of the lectures, they ask questions out of the scope, they present their answers like a pro. Maybe its because they dont worry about relationships or life like we do.
Studying sucks big time. I feel like I could just give up and go to sleep...

They can good result becos they pay hugh price to study aboard esp those china students where their school fees are paid by their government and failing the course is consider as a breach of contract..It is like when you pay 60K to study aborad for 2 years..Can you afford to fail?
But i agree that somtimes by pressing on no matter how many times you tried and then failed, you still dun get what you want. But by giving up at this point of time will really be the end of the whole thing, just like when a person commit sucide..And you had already try for so long. Why give up now and got this far..why waste the effort you had put in so far??..
Maybe you stituation now is you are walking in a drak tunnel and about to reach the exit soon leh?..Continue to press on and i am sure you can do it..haha

Studying is fun if you know what you are learning and why are you learning it.
But most often we don't. Hence studying sucks.

I think some people like studying because they know that they can get good jobs if they study hard. Think about it. Will they really be able to enjoy studying if they know their careers wont be based on their studies? I highly doubt so. Hence, I believe some people who say they enjoy studying is merely a perceived sense of fondness. Unless you really have a true passion for studying. Then can I say you're a freak? haha!

agree that very few ppl have true passion for studying.. most of us get past it because we are thinking of our careers mostly

Actually there are many careers not based on your studies. Even a honours degree from SoC cannot equip you adequately to meet the challenges in the workplace today.
Career is a lot about upgrading and learning on the spot.
If we think of studying [to get a cert] as a passport to a good career .. this should motivate us somehow. Haha ..

Don't think of studying .. think of learning. Studying is temporary, learning is lifelong.
We learn skills 'cos we want to solve some problem in real life.
Even some sucky modules in your own faculty .. once you see the big picture it can be very enlightening.
