My Sweet Valentine

What a week. Have been working on a project for the past few days and I guess I'm feeling drained by all the work. On the bright side, I must admit I have learnt quite a lot of things.

Chinese new year has just past and the extra red packet money sure came in handy! Did a little shopping the last week, but then, with a hefty 5 digit sum needed to pay my university fees and allowance, I'm feeling the need to cut back on my spending.

Valentine's day just past recently too. Though I dont have a significant other half to spend that day with, I sure had fun. Caught Jumper which was pretty cool and had some drinks. Watching the ladies stroll past me with bouquets of flowers strangely didnt make me feel sad at all. I've learnt, that being in a relationship doesnt make you a happier or luckier person. Some of us need to go through break-ups in order to find that special someone. I've also learnt, that being the sentimental or emotional one doesnt make you weak or less attractive, because I always believe that these people are the ones who will be the happier ones when they find that special someone. For those people who were ever hurt by a certain someone, lets not feel sad anymore. In fact, lets feel happy that we are the ones who will find more meaning in life.

Love. What a simple yet complex word. Here's a toast to those people who still believe in it. I know I do.

Happy Chinese New Year

Finally, the long-awaited chinese lunar new year is here! What a nice long break for me! Really treasure moments like these when I started working because unlike school where you can self-declare holidays, you cant do that during work.

Well, they say that the rat's year aint a very good year for me. I'm not superstitious but I'm starting to believe a little of it lol. Lost quite a bit of money this year gambling during the festive season. Oh well, I hope the red packets are more than enough to cover everything :) I got new braids just before the chinese new year at a salon in bugis. It's temporary and the lady who did my hair said it could last me for 6 months if I take proper care of it so I guess it's value-for-money. I've got soooo much things I wanna do. I wanna take up a yoga course(I know I've been saying this for ages haha) and driving lessons. I hope my work schedule allows me to accomplish all these. I'll end here. Here's wishing everyone a very happy chinese new year and may this year be good to us!
